Impressive features of the 2020 Ford Ranger

When your truck doubles as your office, a smart design makes all the difference. Packed with technology Ranger now comes standard across the range with AEB with Pedestrian Detection, Lane-Keep Assist, Auto High Beam & Traffic Sign Recognition.

AEB

When traffic is crawling along, it can be easy to miss someone suddenly stopping up front. In speeds over 3.6km/h, Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection* is designed to detect if the car in front has unexpectedly stopped or if a pedestrian stepped out onto the road and can automatically apply the brakes if you don't. Now standard across the range.

Adaptive Cruise Control

Forget having to turn your cruise control on and off as traffic conditions change. If traffic slows in front of you, Adaptive Cruise Control can automatically slow to maintain a pre-set distance. Once traffic clears, it returns to your cruising speed.

Lane Keep Assist

By monitoring road markings, every Ford Ranger can now detect if you appear to unintentionally move out of your lane. If you do, your steering wheel will vibrate to warn you. If lane departure continues it will also direct you back into your lane by applying steering torque, unless your indicator is on.

Traffic Sign Recognition

Ford Ranger is now standard with Traffic Sign Recognition, designed to enhance your speed control to enable you to concentrate on the road. The forward-facing camera automatically detects the current speed limit (when activated), then displays this on the instrument cluster. It can then provide an audible and visual warning if you exceed the detected speed limit.

Semi-Auto Parking

Not everyone loves to parallel park. But what if we designed a truck that not only helps you find the right size parking space, but also automatically steers itself in for a perfect park? Ford Ranger is the first in the Pick-up segment to offer Semi-Auto Active Park Assist to make city driving even easier.

TPMS

When your tyre pressure isn’t right it can compromise safety and fuel economy. The Tyre Pressure Monitor constantly monitors each tyre’s pressure and lets you know which ones need air, and when.
